Minimal qualifications
A valid Secondary Certificate to teach school in the discipline or specialized areas as assigned with preference to WWPS faculty/staff.
Major Areas of Responsibility
General teacher responsibilities and duties as set forth in statutes and policies established by the state Council on Elementary and Secondary Education, Board of Education, the Rhode Island Department of Education, and/or the West Warwick School Committee.
Work Year/Salary
The Director of Summer School and the Superintendent of Schools in accordance with West Warwick School Department Policy shall establish the Summer School Teachers schedule
The salary of the Summer School faculty and staff shall be set in accordance with the schedule established in the current contractual agreement between the West Warwick School Committee and the West Warwick Teachers' Alliance, Local #1017 AFT, AFL-CIO.
Position in Total Organization
The Summer School Teachers are directly responsible to the Director of Summer School for supervision and direction.
