In July, 1,400 chromebooks were delivered so that every South Garner student would have a Lenovo touchscreen chromebook.

After creating this schedule, communicating to our staff via Brew's News, direct email and this flyer that was placed in mailboxes, with the help of the TLC team, we saw every 2nd period class. During this time we distributed chromebooks and entered help desk tickets for those who had damaged, malfunctioning or lost devices.

Although the process has been arduous, we have successfully provided 1810 chromebooks as of 11/4, we have 53 students who are eligible for a chromebook but never picked it up, and there are 51 students who still have an HP chromebook who

Although the 1,400 chromebooks that were distributed had covers, those students who had a Lenovo chromebook already did not. Cases arrived in September. Staff was asked to fill out this form and then cases were delivered with this attached.

Any student who had an HP chromebook was expected to return it in order to receive their new Lenovo chromebook.

As of today, 11/4/2021, approximately 25 students are still waiting for the help desk to "clear their account" because they have a chromebook checked out to them but do not have it in their possession, for a variety of reasons.
