I spent a lot of time on the 4Cs grant for Techquity this year. Between required meetings for the grant, giving pre and post assessments, learning how to use the VR and then training students and staff, it has been much more time consuming than I had anticipated. It makes it all worth while when your students get over-the-top excited!
Oakview now has a VR cart for checkout. It has 30 viewers, 30 phones, a router, two teacher tablets and two 360 cameras. Every student in grade 2 through 5, and every teacher in those same grades, now knows how to assemble the sets and they each participated in a virtual reality experience.
