Standard III. Instructional technology facilitators facilitate the implementation of a comprehensive 21st Century instructional technology program. 

a. Instructional technology facilitators serve as a specialist, fostering the effective use of digital tools and resources for constructing and sharing knowledge using inquiry-based instruction. 

Each week, I share a tech tip with our staff. These range from simple "how to re-open a closed tab" to available trainings to digital citizenship resources. Our team also strives to be active participants in our staff meeting, ensuring that our teachers know we are here to support them and our students.  

TLC +

Again this year, in Room 2322, South Garner has access to TLC +. This room has a green screen for recordings, a smaller room for podcasts, and lots of resources. Teachers can sign up to use the room or to plan with me and work on projects together by clicking here. If there are no conflicts, their request is entered into the TLC+ calendar. 

Although these are the resources most requested, we have several other opportunities.

I strive to promote SGHS through social media, whether it's information about our Hispanic Heritage Month or how to find your Exam Schedule. We have increased our followers on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. 

I also maintain the daily announcement slides that are cast to the televisions in the cafeteria, main office and student services using the AirTame System.

Tardy System

In collaboration with Knightdale High, I undertook a comprehensive initiative to understand and implement their tardy system. This involves the meticulous setup and weekly maintenance of spreadsheets to track tardiness data. Additionally, I conducted training sessions for administration and staff, imparting the necessary skills to effectively navigate and utilize the tardy system. The successful implementation of these efforts has  resulted in a notable decrease in tardies, consequently providing increased instructional time. This experience showcases my proficiency in system optimization, data management, and staff training within an educational context.
