Manākitanga
Kōrero pai i ngā wā katoa. Whakaaro pai ki ngā tangata katoa.
Speak good things all the time.
We will achieve this by:
Thinking before we speak. Take a big breath, think, then speak
Think nice thoughts, it makes it easier to say nice things!
If we have nothing nice to say, keep quiet
Minding our own business and worrying about ourselves not others
Putting our hands up in class and not overtalking others, letting others have their say and have a chance to learn too
Put ups! Tell people they are doing a great job, let them know you notice them trying super hard
Thank others for helping us
Knowing how our mood affects our learning and others
Respecting others and the way they are feeling
Using kind words that make people feel great
Ignoring people who say things we don't like
Success Indicator:
Our class will be friendlier
We will have no arguments after morning tea and lunch
We won't be yelling across the room abusing others
We will be thanked for our thoughtfulness
We will feel respected and cared for when people speak to us using kind words
We will feel safe and happy in our personal space and in our classroom
We can continue to improve and develop our reputation in a positive way
