Our Interschool sports starts this term. If you would like to join a team... Sign up here

Remember:

You can only join ONE team (they play their games at the same time)
It is only open to year 5 and 6 - SORRY year 4! You will be able to join next year. You will be able to watch the home games if you wish on the day.
You must attend practices. They will be at lunchtimes generally. If you don't attend, you won't be included in the team when we play.
If you signed up for netball last term, you can't sign up for any of these sports - you are already in an Interschool team! Yay!
You can't pull out once you sign up. Your team is depending on you and your skills.

Knowing classroom expectations and supporting peers with them

We will achieve this by:

Discussing the classroom expectations and resetting our class Tiriti.
Quietly helping others (so we don't embarrass them)
Remembering what we do at WES with behaviour
Being respectful to others by listening to them and saying kind things
Listening for what the teacher expects us to do and making sure our friends understand too
Learning about our MANA values

Success Indicator:

When you help someone, you will feel proud of yourself and they will feel proud of you
We can continue to improve and develop our reputation in a positive way
The class will run nice and smoothly and we will learn a lot and have fun doing it
We will get rewards both as individuals and as a class

Each morning we will get our brains moving by learning and practicing small things. It will make us smarter!

Learning to Type

Using our chromebooks, we need to practice our typing. Whaene Vicki can type WITHOUT looking! This is called touch typing. You have to practice a lot to get to that stage, but you can get better and USE MORE THAN ONE FINGER if you practice just a little bit!

Remember to have your headphones on, or your sound turned off.

The more you practice the faster you will become. KEEP TRYING. It gets easier.
