Aim of the Research
The research objective is to improve the performance of rotary machines in the field of turbomachinery. Our research covers a wide range of applications in turbomachinery:
Centrifugal compressors and turbines (design, optimizations)
Axial compressors and turbines (design, optimizations)
Two stage centrifugal compressor (return channel design)
Two stage axial-radial compressor (optimizations)
FSI analyses (self-excitation, stresses etc.)
CFD analyses of specific problems, e.g. blowby, casing treatment etc.
Central housing fluid flow - heat transfers, lubricant foaming etc.
