Formula Student

The Institute supports the student team Formula Student TU Brno Racing 

Formula Student is the European offshoot of the original American Formula SAE competition. It is a prestigious competition for university teams composed of undergraduate and postgraduate students. TU Brno Racing, with the support of the IAUE, is composed of students from this department and supplemented by students from the faculties of the BUT. The team receives professional support and consultation from PhD students, as well as from IAUE professors and external experts not only from the automotive industry.

The main objective is to design, construct and test a single-seater electric racing vehicle for participation in international competitions held in different parts of the world. Students will gain experience in the field and work in a team. The design of such a complex vehicle as the Formula Student is supported financially, materially and with advice from the University and industry partners.
