Testing racing engines

The research group builds on many years of experience in motorsport and cooperation with major racing and factory teams, in local, European and world championships on circuits, in rally (WRC, R5, R2) and in autocross. Consulting and research activities include optimization of wheel suspension kinematics, design of vehicle suspension mechanisms, vehicle testing and data analysis. In addition, the department focuses on a systematic approach to computer-aided testing and car development. It has laboratories for the measurement of vehicle parameters, a shock dynamometer, high-end measuring equipment (for measurements on a moving vehicle), commercial simulation software and in-house data analysis software including the calculation (reconstruction) of vehicle dynamic states based on data measured during driving.
