Using Zoom on meeting room equipment
Our Zoom room connector licence means we can now dial into Zoom meetings and webinars from all of the Lifesize video conference units in our meeting rooms.
This means that instead of just one webinar room, we now have 25 in CAH (London), and 5 in MET (Milton Keynes), so you can run a Zoom meeting or webinar from any meeting room with Lifesize equipment in it.
Zoom video recordings
If you want to create a video recording using Zoom you can do this from any of the Lifesize equipment in our meeting rooms using the guide below. If you need help with filming you can also speak to ITD.
Did you know...
You can record narration over a presentation directly within PowerPoint? You can then publish the PowerPoint to the website or share it with colleagues on SharePoint or OneDrive. It's really simple. To see how, watch this explainer video from Microsoft.
Run or join an ICAEW-created Zoom meeting in our meeting rooms
Press the Zoom button on the touch screen of the Lifesize unit. If you don't see the shortcut on the main screen you can find it listed in the Directory
When prompted enter the Zoom Meeting ID using the unit's keypad, and Passcode if required, both followed by # to join the meeting. You may have to swipe right on the screen to see the keypad.
All video/audio/content will appear on the big screen.
Note: If you want to do polling, breakout rooms or Q&A/chat, you would still need a laptop in the room with you, running the same meeting as a host, but which would need to have to have both microphone and speakers muted in order to stop feedback with the other AV equipment.

Run or join ICAEW Zoom webinars in our meeting rooms
To connect one of the meeting rooms with Lifesize equipment as a panellist on a webinar, you'll need the 6 digit host key of the person who created that webinar which they need to provide to you. It can be found on the profile (home)page on their ICAEW zoom.us account.
Note: If you want to do polling, resource sharing or Q&A/chat, you would still need a laptop in the room with you, running the same webinar (but as a host), but which would need to have to have microphone and speakers muted in order to stop feedback with the other AV equipment.
