Hey, I’m Zathong and this article is all about the Sion wild rift build. I’ll help you in learning about the items, runes, skill order, and skill combo of Sion .
Skill:
Glory In Death (Passive)
Sion permanently gains bonus health whenever he kills a unit. This is increased against large units and champion takedowns. This makes Sion tanky as the game goes on. When playing in the Baron Lane, walk back and take the Krugs in your jungle. These Krugs will give you a lot of stacks and you'll gain more bonus health.
When Sion takes fatal damage, he will reanimate himself, fearing those around him for a second while slowing their movement speed. After reanimating, Sion can move and attack, but his health rapidly decays while he is reanimated. All of Sion's abilities are replaced with Death Surge, which grants him movement speed decaying over time. This passive will catch a lot of enemies off guard. So make sure you stay near enemies even when you are about to die because you can come back to life and still get a few more kills.
Decimating Smash (1)
Sion charges a heavy blow for up to 2 seconds. Whilst the ability is charging, Sion can recast. When recast, Sion slams his mace down, briefly slowing enemies hit, dealing physical damage. If Sion charges long enough, enemies are knocked up and stunned instead based on charge time.
Knowing how long you need to charge Decimating Smash to guarantee the knock-up is the most important thing you will need to learn and master. If Sion uses Decimating Smash in a bush with no vision, the ability will be hidden. You can use this as a sneak attack on the enemies.
Soul Furnace (2)
Sion gains a shield that absorbs damage for a few seconds. After a few seconds, if the shield still holds, Sion can recast to detonate the shield to deal damage to all nearby enemies.
If you want to deal damage with Soul Furnace, using the ability while using other abilities is crucial. For example, when casting Decimating Smash, use Soul Furnace; then, by the time Decimating Smash knocks up and stuns the enemy, you can walk up and recast Soul Furnace to deal damage.
Roar of The Slayer (3)
Sion fires a shockwave, dealing magic damage, slowing them for over 2 seconds and removing 20% armour for a few seconds. Non-champion's hit are knocked back.
Enemies hit by a Knocked Back unit take the same damage and effects. When in the laning phase, you want to use Roar of the Slayer on minions to try and hit the enemy champion. You can then combo this with Decimating Smash when they are slowed and take more damage.
Unstoppable Onslaught (Ultimate)
Sion charges unstoppably (meaning he cannot be cancelled by anything) in a direction, turning with player input. Sion stops when colliding with an enemy champion, structure, terrain or when recasting this ability. When this happens, Sion will slam the ground with earth-shattering force, dealing damage while stunning and knocking up enemies based on charge time.
There is no time limit on how long Unstoppable Onslaught can go on. So if you want to, you can go around the Wild Rift map multiple times, clearing minion waves!
