Skill:
Mark of the Storm (Passive)
Hitting enemies with abilities places a Mark of the Storm on them for a few seconds. At 3 stacks, the enemy is stunned for just over a second and Kennen gains energy. Knowing when to engage is all dependent on how many stacks you have on the enemy champions. If you have 2 stacks and you can get a 3rd stack easily, you can engage and deal a lot of damage.
Stunning an enemy multiple times within 6 seconds reduces the stun duration to just under a second. This shouldn't affect how you play because you can still deal a significant amount of damage.
Thundering Shuriken (1)
Kennen throws a shuriken dealing magic damage to the first enemy hit. This is a long-range poke ability that you can use for great effect during the lane phase, and it has a short cooldown.
You can also use Thundering Shuriken to safely last hit minions from a distance if you don't feel comfortable enough walking up and auto-attacking them.
Electrical Surge (2)
This ability has a passive and an active. The passive makes every 5th attack deal bonus magic damage and apply a Mark of the Storm. You can tell how many auto attacks you are on and how many you have left until your 5th one just underneath Kennen's Energy Bar.
Make sure to use your empowered auto-attack on the enemy champion so you can follow it up with your other abilities to apply your passive or harass with the Electrical Surge active. The active shocks nearby enemies afflicted by Mark of the Storm dealing magic damage.
Lightning Rush (3)
Kennen transforms into an electric ball for a few seconds, becoming unable to attack but gaining bonus movement speed and dealing magic damage to enemies he passes through. This is Kennen's mobility ability that allows him to engage or disengage easily.
The bonus movement speed is doubled during the first half of a second. Kennen gains bonus attack speed for a few seconds upon exiting Lighting Rush. You can tap on the ability again to deactivate it so you can attack again if needed.
Slicing Maelstrom (Ultimate)
Kennen summons a storm that grants him Armor and Magic Resist and deals magic damage for half a second for up to 3 seconds. This is Kennen's main teamfight ability that allows him to carry any teamfight that comes his way. Each subsequent bolt against the same target deals increased damage.
