The selective college process is always very challenging. With the various deadlines and variables to consider, it can be overwhelming! However, WPI's cozy campus created a focal point for me, where I found a tightly-knit community built on a unique academic structure. Making a college decision is one thing, but actually being a college student is just as daunting. What really eased my mind was WPI's term and no record (NR) system. The term system gives me the ability to focus-in on three of my classes at a time, while NRs allow for freedom in trying new classes and adjusting without putting my transcript or GPA on the line. While there are many incredible things at WPI, as a first year I found the academic structure the most comforting.
