My time at WPI has been full of project-based learning, a collaborative environment, and endless experiences to explore my interests! Some of the reasons I chose WPI are the undergraduate research opportunities, the ability to apply the skills I have learned, and connecting with professors and other students I have met. If you connect to any of my interests or have any questions about WPI feel free to reach out to me!
I have volunteered as a research assistant in Professor Vidali's lab, and it has been an incredible opportunity! The lab's research focus is investigating how plant cells grow using the model organism P. patens (a type of moss). It has been the perfect way to develop both my wet-lab and computational research skills. I have also volunteered at the Seddon Lab at UMass Chan Medical School, which focuses on ophthalmology and more specifically macular degeneration.
I am currently the president of our club! The BCB club has been an amazing way to meet other students in a small major. We host a wide range of events like alumni networking, career development, skills workshops, and social activities. The BCB club is open to all majors, and we love to talk about new research through our journal club!
When I first joined WPI, I never expected myself to join a sorority! I currently serve as the Panhellenic Council Vice President of Recruitment. The Panhellenic Council is the governing body of all the sororities, which means I have gotten to know many incredible sorority women in different chapters through this opportunity. As you can tell by the title of my position, I organize the various aspects of sorority recruitment! Feel free to reach out with any questions about Greek Life or recruitment.
One of the three main projects WPI students must complete is the Interactive Qualifying Project (IQP). I had the amazing experience of completing my project in Cádiz, Spain. My group's project is called "The Comeback Kitchen", and it is a virtual reality cooking simulation designed as a rehabilitation tool for patients with an aqcuired brain injury. I loved being able to see the impact of our project on our sponsor organization (ADACCA), and all of the people I met through this experience. Our project even won the 2025 President's IQP Award!
