I love adventure, which is why I chose WPI as my university. With its strong academic program, exciting opportunities, and fun extracurricular life, I was drawn to it. It has pushed me to become a better version of myself, in all aspects of my life. If you want to know more, or just chat about what it's like to be a(n international) student here, I'd be happy to talk to you :).
Campus involvements
The soccer team has been my family since day 1, connecting me with people who also love soccer and being a great athletic outlet for me.
I am the treasurer of the Biotechnology Club, taking care of the financials behind the activities we organize as the exec board :)
Outing club has some great trips such as skiing and hiking, that I love going on to explore the area.
Never thought I would play pickleball when I arrived here, but it's super fun and we play weekly with some friends :)
Weekly general body meetings where we come up with ways to improve a water filtering system in Ecuador.
Since my sophomore year I have been volunteering in Professor Shell's lab. Here we do research into Mycobacterium Tuberculosis and identify different growth mechanisms.
We play every week on the quad if weather allows it, and just hang out while playing spikeball and other games :)
With some people from the soccer team we joined the intramural volleyball league lol
