When researching through colleges, what drew me into WPI was the focus on hands-on learning, the amazing project opportunities, and its unique curriculum. When talking to Panamanian alumni, I also noticed how WPI helped them grow as professionals and led them to excel in their careers. As someone who has always loved creating and learning, WPI seemed like it could be the place for me.
At WPI, I've been able to learn so much within Mechanical Engineering, which has been so fun! I've also gotten to meet some fantastic people (and lifelong friends) that are always there to root for me. As an International Student, the people are definitely what have made WPI feel like my home away from home. I love the culture of care and support that we have on campus, and the incredible amounts of oportunities to get involved both in and outside academics.
Feel free to reach out to me with any questions! (PS. I also speak Spanish!)
My Campus Involvements!
I'm a member of Alpha Xi Delta, a sorority here on campus!
Before college, I never thought joining Greek Life would be for me, but thanks to Alpha Xi Delta I have met some of the most amazing people and my best friends here at WPI. I have gotten to contribute to our chapter and philanthropy through my leadership positions, and also had so many incredible opportunities within Greek Life!
I'm President for the Dance Team, a club sport here at WPI!
I Joined Dance Team on my very first term at WPI, and I have loved everything about it since. I have danced since I was little (3 years old!), so being able to continue doing it through college has been so amazing. We have 4 practices a week, and I have been able to perform at Pep Rally, Dance Team's Annual Showcase, and even choreograph my own dance!
I'm a member of the International Student Council!
Ever since my very first day at WPI, I've gotten to meet people from all over the world (from Morocco to Brasil) thanks to ISC. As an International Student, it's been amazing to meet others that are also from a bit further away. I've also been able to help new international students as a Peer Mentor during International Orientation!
