Hello! I'm a first-year student completing my BS in 3 years, and I intend to apply for the BS/MS program to complete in my 4th year. I think my favorite thing about WPI is the people here. AI Work Study!
I have a federal work study job in artificial intelligence through the organization ASSISTments. I work in one of the many labs on campus and utilize object detection (as seen in this picture) to categorize mathematical content in K-12 students' homework assignments to be used as the knowledge base for AI.
Greek Life!
My sorority, Alpha Xi Delta, holds a special place in my heart. I've found such an inspiring and loving community of women on campus. I highly recommend joining a sorority or fraternity if you're searching for that sort of environment--with over 20 social fraternities and sororities, we have something for everyone!
Data Science!
Data Science marks the intersection of so many of my favorite academic subjects. I love how I can combine my lifelong love for math & statistics with programming, and apply it to whatever field I want. I'm hoping to pursue a career in something related to biotechnology!
Concert Band!
I love that I've been able to continue playing my instrument in college. WPI has a strong music program with repertoire that is both interesting and challenging.
VOX Musical Theater!
On top of concert band, I also play in the pit orchestra for VOX Musical Theater's productions. We put on 2 musicals and one cabaret a year, and all of them are truly spectacular! I love how robust our music department is.
