The Academic Advisory Council of the German Federal Ministry of Economics aims to make a contribution to furthering the evaluation culture in Germany with its report on "Evaluation of Economic-Policy Measures as an Element of Evidence-Based Economic Policy."
A major precondition to enable evidence-based policy is transparency. It calls for greater comparability of educational achievement across German states and for better access to relevant data.
