The University of Caloocan City officially started admissions for the upcoming school year 2023-2024 on April 17, 2023. The application process is conducted online, and many students have submitted their requirements and forms. Additionally, the university offers a variety of programs suitable for every student, including the BSE English-Chinese program. The students of the BSE English-Chinese program invited prospective passers to join and become part of the English-Chinese family, known for its excellence in producing competent educators who are equipped to teach English and Chinese in various settings.

BSE English-Chinese program students Mark Cabia and Argelyn Laroza, along with other students, created a promotional video to encourage prospective passers to join the program for the school year 2023-2024. The video showcased the rich culture and bilingual education offered by the BSE English-Chinese program. In the video, the students sang a Chinese song and read some Chinese characters, highlighting the importance of language learning and cultural immersion in the program. The video aimed to inspire prospective students to become part of the English-Chinese family, where they could learn, grow, and embrace the Chinese and English cultures.

Mark Cabia, a second-year student in the BSE English-Chinese program, believed that the program provided unique opportunities for language learning and cultural immersion. He described his experience in the program as life-changing, having developed cross-cultural competencies and befriended foreigners who studied and spoke Chinese. Mark encouraged prospective students to join the program to gain similar opportunities for their future careers.

He encouraged prospective students to join the English-Chinese program, despite the challenges that come with learning something new. He assured them that the benefits were immense and that the department could potentially become independent from the English department if the number of students increased. Mark also expressed his desire for the English-Chinese department to grow and for more people to understand what it means to be an English-Chinese major.

Ms. Argelyn Laroza, a second-year student of the BSE English-Chinese program, shared her insights on the benefits of joining the program, as well as her invitation to prospective students. According to her, the program equipped students with English and Chinese language skills, as well as pedagogy courses, providing long-term benefits for their future careers. She believed that the program was perfect for risk-takers who were willing to experience challenges and emphasized that while it was not easy, the rewards were worth it. To prospective students, she advised them to prepare for the challenges ahead and be ready to work hard, as the program would require "blood, sweat, and tears." As for the English-Chinese family's support for new students, they warmly welcomed and guided freshmen students on what to expect in the program, offering tips and advice to help them navigate their college days seamlessly and smoothly.

BSE English-Chinese program offered by the University of Caloocan City is a unique and valuable opportunity for students who are looking to gain an edge in language learning and cross-cultural competencies. The program's rich bilingual education and cultural immersion offer students a chance to learn and grow while embracing both Chinese and English cultures. With the invitation and testimonies of current students like Mark Cabia and Argelyn Laroza, prospective students are encouraged to take on the challenge and join the English-Chinese family. As the admissions process for the upcoming school year is ongoing, students are urged to submit their requirements and forms to be part of this exceptional program.
