Spell Services

Scribing a Spell Scroll

If you have Spellcasting or Pact Magic features, you can scribe a spell scroll. To scribe a spell scroll, you must have:

  • the material components of the spell.
  • the spell prepared or otherwise written in a spell book or scroll. Copying between two scrolls destroys the original scroll.

Once you have chosen a spell to scribe and meet the prerequisites, pay the cost listed on the table below. Once this has all been completed, and your payment concluded, roll an Arcana check using your Spellcasting modifier. The DC for doing so equals the Save DC that the scroll would be using. On a failure, the inscribing process has gone wrong, and your downtime wasted.

Scrolls made in this way are considered consumables for the purposes of magic item transactions.

Scribing Services

It is possible to pay for both immediate spell services and scrolls to be scribed on commission.

Spell cost in gold does not include material components with a gold value, which you must provide. Those looking to purchase an immediate spell service, as in, the mage casting it by hand, pays a flat 1 day with any additional days the spell requires added on. Those requiring a spell scroll must pay the following time costs in the below table.
