The Mental Health Department has a network of county-operated and contracted programs, which include outpatient treatment and emergency mental health care that includes temporary hospitalization for individuals with severe mental illness.

MHUC is a walk-in outpatient clinic for Santa Clara County residents experiencing a mental health crisis. It provides screening assessment, crisis intervention, referral and short-term treatment for adolescents and adults.

Catholic Charities' Older Adult Program
The Behavioral Health Older Adult Program is a Full Service Partnership contract with the Department of Behavioral Health to serve low-income older adults living with acute Behavioral illness. Program staff will do “whatever it takes” on a 24/7 basis to manage a client’s illness and recovery. Available to those 60+ years old, with a history of two or more Behavioral health episodes leading to hospitalization or EPS visits in the last year, and ready to step down from acute psychiatric services with appropriate support.

The Central Wellness & Benefits Center (CWBC) is a Mental Health Services Act (MHSA) funded program in Santa Clara County that provides ongoing medication services. Clients are referred to our Center in order to receive behavioral health services. The Center provides basic behavioral health, crisis intervention, and benefit enrollment services to all clients.

Uplift Family Services is one of the largest, most comprehensive mental and behavioral health treatment programs in California. Uplift Family Services takes a state-of-the-art approach to children and adolescents with complex behavioral health challenges and helps them recover from trauma such as abuse, severe neglect, addiction and poverty.
