Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Centers
Victim Advocates serve as your connection to prosecutors, law enforcement and other criminal justice agencies, and help to ensure that you have a voice in the criminal justice process. Your Victim Advocate will link you with local resources, provide you with case updates, and support you during court hearings and testimony. The Victim Services Unit helps victims from all walks of life and experiences, regardless of age, background and/or immigration status. Walk-ins are welcome and all services are free. Your Victim Advocate can assist you even if a suspect is not identified or if criminal charges have not been filed.

In conjunction with the Santa Clara County District Attorney’s office, the San Jose Family Justice Center brings together professionals and community resources for survivors of domestic violence in one centralized location. Survivors have the option to access as many services as best meet their individual needs. Includes free consultation with:
- The District Attorney for legal issues and pending criminal cases
- Family law attorneys to discuss restraining orders, divorce, child custody, and visitation
- Immigration attorneys who can help a survivor apply for a VAWA or U-Visa

Community Solutions to Violence programs provide empowerment-based services to strengthen and support survivors of intimate partner abuse, sexual assault, and human trafficking crimes. Santa Clara County Probation Adult Probation Department promotes community safety and serves the community by providing services to adult clients that include:
