Cityteam’s Community Services help meet the critical needs of those living below the poverty line in Santa Clara County by providing them with the resources they need to overcome the hardships they are facing, and to break out of the cycle of poverty. Individuals and families are provided with donated goods including food boxes, backpacks, school supplies, diapers, hygiene items, clothing, household items, and furniture.

The South Palo Alto Food Closet is a grocery program located at the Covenant Presbyterian Church. This food program is designed to help families with children by assisting them in their weekly food needs. Adults who are unable to use the services of the Downtown Food Closet are also served, provided they have a referral. Referrals can be obtained from a social service agency, any church, or Urban Ministry. Emergency food service is available. Assistance is limited to families that live in Palo Alto except for special requests from specified agencies.

Clients of Sunnyvale Community Services have access to the food pantry. On select Mondays clients can stop by and pick up 20 - 40 pounds of fresh produce. Produce is donated fresh to our facility every Monday morning and distributed to clients throughout the day from 9 AM - 5 PM.
Clients can “shop” once per month on any Tuesday or Wednesday for meats, dairy items, canned food, household supplies, paper products, and more.
Each month clients are able to come for additional bags of nutritious food to help stretch their budgets a little further. The Monthly Food program for seniors is typically the second Tuesday of each month, and for families it is held on the fourth Wednesday of the month.

The West Valley Community Services Food Pantry provides a wide selection of food to families facing a hunger crisis. Clients visit our pantry weekly, selecting from a variety of healthy and delicious foods donated by local partners, including Second Harvest Food Bank, Target, Sprouts, Gene's Fine Foods, Whole Foods, Safeway, and other local vendors. WV community services also offers a Mobile Food Pantry to clients living in Saratoga, West San Jose, and Los Gatos, providing nutritious food, case management, and referrals to clients with barriers to transportation.
