Group Counseling
The Centre for Living with Dying program provides emotional support to adults and children facing life-threatening illness or the trauma of having a loved one die. The Centre also provides crisis intervention services and broad-based educational programs on grief and loss. Whether clients choose individual counseling or grief groups, they are gently given tools for coping with loss and trauma. Individual and small group grief support is available for adults, children, teens and families.

Based on twelve step recovery program similar to AA, this group offers free, self-help support for adults and teenagers with emotional problems. Not a medical or psychiatric service. Does not provide individual and/or family counseling.
This long-standing group offers respect, safety, self-expression and peer support to everyone who attends. The true heart of the program is to help each other transition through the Criminal Justice System. Lunch served.

MRT is a treatment program designed to enhance self-esteem as well as positive social & moral behaviors. Participants progress through 12 to 16 steps and learn ways to make better decisions and judgments by raising moral reasoning. Those in the class reach the root causes of their issues and learn practical, effective ways of coping.

This class addresses errors in thinking that lead to criminal behavior, drug use and unhappiness. Using techniques from Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, belief systems and the affect on our emotions and behaviors are examined.

YWCA Healing Center Counseling Services strive to improve the emotional, mental, and behavioral wellness of our community. Located in downtown San Jose and a satellite office in Sunnyvale, they offer short and long term counseling and support services to clients of all ages including individuals, couples, families and groups; adults, teens and children. Their services are offered on an income-based sliding-scale. They also accept Victim Witness Compensation.
