Do you ever show up to school too early? Ever crave a morning snack to get your academic day going but feel like you just don’t have the time? We have the perfect solution here at Elgin Academy: Breakfast Club!

The Breakfast Club runs every morning before the school day starts at 8:10am with an array of breakfast foods; from toast to orange juice, making sure everyone gets fed. The school’s Breakfast club has had many praises, like “it’s a quieter place to stay and cosier than the rest of the school” and “I love the food!”

Additionally, the Breakfast Club allows students to support friendships and relationships with those who may not necessarily be in any of their classes; “I get to see my friends before class and it’s a nice place to stay.”

The Breakfast club is run by the very friendly youth workers who help around other places of the school, who have said “it’s quite nice to see the young people, there’s such a range of year groups who come and it is heart-warming to see the enjoyment on student’s faces”

The Breakfast Club was originally held in the Home Economics Department, but as the number of attendees grew, they had to switch locations to the bridge beside the school’s main office. This has made the group more accessible to people and given them their own space to chill and hangout.

Next time you’re at school early and feel a bit peckish, or just want to meet some new people; you know where to go. Come grab some food with the Breakfast Club!
