Prince William and Kate visit local school

Burghead bustled with celebration last month when a certain pair of royals visited the local primary school.

Hundreds lined the streets for the chance of a glimpse of Prince William and Princess Kate on November 2.

The couple made a visit to Burghead Primary School, as well as an unveiling of a bike course from Outfit Moray. During their visit, the two even had a shot at riding the bikes themselves.

A woman from Lossiemouth said that her daughter had missed school for the event due to it being a ‘once in the lifetime opportunity’.

Another local woman was brought to tears after shaking the Princess of Wales’ hand.

She said: “It’s really crazy that something this big is happening somewhere like Burghead.

“Both of them are absolutely lovely and very down to earth.”

The hospitality from the local people caused a lively atmosphere where people were still talking about the visit when the royal pair left.

After their busy morning in Burghead, the couple visited a farm in Forres, and then later Inverness.
