Working in a group of 6, we were tasked to compose 5 diagrams and models for the parti, context, space planning, circulation + zoning and structure for Hideout Horizon in Bali by Studio WNA.

This first project taught us how to retrieve the essence of a building and translate it into a simple and easy-to-understand diagram.

The main challenge and criticism I received was translating all that information into a simpler diagram and also choosing what to include and what not to.

Even though mind-burning, I know this would be useful to communicate in future projects and with practice it would be easier to compose better diagrams.

Through this assignment, I've learnt a lot about simplification of ideas and boiling down every detail considered by the architect. It is a very effective way to communicate to someone and let them understand my intentions and reasons to every design decision.
