Design Communication was pretty easy to understand but time consuming, especially when drawing and colouring isn’t my strong suit but I gave it my best shot. The assignments challenged and refined my visual communication skills with line weights, architectural lettering, colouring mediums etc. The module was held in a hybrid manner; where project briefs were done online however we had physical tutorial classes. Besides completing assignments, we also had sketching activities and workshops (autocad, procreate) which I thought were pretty intuitive and refreshing as we could get away from our drafting tables for a breather.
Dr Lia was my tutor; she was extremely patient and tolerant with me during tutorial and also in Teams chat (asking for comments + extensions). Without her, I don’t think I would’ve survived the semester. Even though I didn’t really talk to Mr Zahari or Mr Adib, through the short conversations I had with them, I felt like they were really professional and attentive to my questions and statements.
Overall, Design Communication was a very nice module with the combination of a dynamic environment with excellent lecturers and tutors.
