The Ease of Access Center is where Microsoft's built-in accessibility features are located. It can be found in a couple of different ways:

1. In Windows 7, click on the Windows Start icon in the bottom left hand corner of the screen. On the right hand side of the menu that pops up, select "Control Panel". From the Control Panel window that opens, find and double click Ease of Access Center.

2. Click on the Windows start icon as in the previous option. In the search bar at the bottom of the popup window, type "Control Panel". Select the "Control Panel" program at the top of the window that appears.

Double clicking on the Ease of Access Center will open up the main screen.

Microsoft has provided three ways to access tools within the Ease of Access Center:

- The Quick Access section at the top of the screen features common tools including:
a) Magnification
b) On-Screen Keyboard
c) Screen reader
d) High contrast display
2. Individual settings related to functionality are grouped under the following categories:
a) Blind users: use the computer without a display
b) Low vision:
c) Access disabilities: Use the computer without a mouse or keyboard
d) Fine motor difficulties: Make the mouse easier to use
e) Deaf or Hard of Hearing: Use text or visual alternatives for sounds
f) Attention deficits: Make it easier to focus on tasks
3. Using computer suggested recommendations based on a short questionnaire. Users are prompted with five sets of questions relating to eyesight, dexterity, hearing, speech and reasoning. The user selects any of the statements that apply and a series of recommended settings are listed. At this point, users may choose to select or ignore any of the recommendations.
