First Responders / EMS

This section includes firefighters and paramedics.

Fireman

This is a standard full-time firefighter. Volunteer firefighters are covered under "Special", below.

Also - this character uses two of the proposed "special skills"- - firefighting and Medical (Trauma).

Entry: No Prison record, STR+CON 11+

First Term Skills: The character receives the following skills in the first term:

  • Firefighting: 2

  • Climbing: 1

  • Ground Vehicle (Wheeled): 1

Subsequent Term Skills: A total of four levels from any one or combination of the following:

  • Firefighting

  • Ground Vehicle (Wheeled): 1

  • Medical (Trauma)

  • Climbing

  • Observation

  • Mechanics

  • Civil Engineering

  • Instruction

  • Leadership

Promotion - 1D10 for 7+. +1 if INT 7+.

Contacts: One per term, Government (any). On D10 of 10+, contact is foreign.

Special: Civilian characters may serve as volunteer firefighters (provided they live in small towns, rural areas, or suburbs at the referee's discretion) as a secondary activity. They get Firefighting 1 on the first term, and a skill of their choice from the subsequent term list. Volunteers roll D10 against their CON every term - if they roll over their CON, they are retired from the volunteer fire department.



Paramedic

This is a standard Emergency Medical Services character. Also - this character uses one of the proposed "special skills"- Medical (Trauma).


Entry: No Prison record, INT 6+.

First Term Skills: The character receives the following skills in the first term:

  • Medical (Trauma): 2

  • Ground Vehicle (Wheeled): 1

Subsequent Term Skills: A total of four levels from any one or combination of the following:

  • Medical (Trauma)

  • Ground Vehicle (Wheeled)

  • Observation

  • Climbing

  • Instruction

  • Interrogation

  • Language

Promotion - 1D10 for 7+. +1 if INT 7+.
