"Veto the veto!" is a short episode of MrSpherical. It explains the veto power of the permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, and its influence on international affairs.
In the headquarters of the United Nations, the UN member states are having a meeting. Ukraine is ready to propose a resolution on the podium. As a reference to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the speech is interrupted by Russia, who uses the UN Security Council veto power to reject Ukraine's proposal. Later, Jordan's speech is interrupted by the United States. The same thing happens to Algeria, without even speaking a word.
Ecuador is unsatisfied with the veto power, so he uses a megaphone to call out to the five permanent members of the UN Security Council, saying that they should not abuse their veto power. Sierra Leone, who is next to Ecuador, adds that this kind of behavior is not democratic, and suggests that there should be more countries in the UN Security Council. This proposal makes the US incoherent. The US first stated that adding more countries wouldn't be democratic, and then decides to aggressively agree Sierra Leone's suggestion. The other countries are happy to see this, and leave the meeting to find a new permanent member from Africa or Asia. The UN is also satisfied with the US' decision, but it only makes the US more angry.
