The German Reich, commonly known as the Weimar Republic or simply Germany, was a country in Central Europe that lasted from its formation in 1918 until the creation of the next German Reich in 1945.
In the closing stages of World War I, with the successful Allied advance onto Germany, the German Empire was overthrown and the German Reich was established. Germany surrendered to the Allies and was forced into signing the Treaty of Versailles.
With the treaty in place, Germany lost a lot of his territory to many countries, including France and Denmark, as well as new countries created in the aftermath of the war including Poland. Germany also lost their ability to retain a strong military, forcing a lot of Germany's former soldiers to be laid off, and was placed into a lot of debt to repay the damages caused by the war, which Germany couldn't afford.
Adolf Hitler starts tempting Germany with a promise to reform Germany into a great empire, by uniting all Germans into one single country. Germany withheld this temptation, and instead visited the Allies to discuss a deal. Despite the Great Depression, America agreed to loan Germany some money, but Germany became outraged, allowing Hitler to take control of him for a while. After Hitler ceased control of Germany, he left.
After Germany returned home, Hitler further tempted Germany by denouncing communism and stating that fascism has glory in it, stating that it is the only way to unify the German people. Germany gets transported in front of the Reichstag building, which was set on fire. Hitler announced that he had given the Germans a violent dream to remedy. their desperation and enemies to keep them afraid. Hitler then takes control of Germany and encircles him, establishing the next German Reich in its place.
During Hitler's rule over Germany, the German Reich attempted to stop Hitler from invading Poland, including trying to get him to not make a deal with the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, only to be unsuccessful at stopping the invasion, which started World War II.
