"The Vietnam War (Part 2)" is an episode of MrSpherical, depicting the US intervention during the Vietnam War.
On August 2, 1964, the Countryballs Network is playing the news about the Vietnam War. While the news reporter is claiming that South Vietnam is defeating the Viet Cong and North Vietnam, the US is watching the news in the Gulf of Tonkin, on a warship. South Vietnam comes and tells the US the last operation didn't go as exactly as planned, and he is confused that the US media is still claiming that the war is going as planned. The US reveals his plan for propaganda, which is to make the media report misinformation, so that he can get the support from the American people. As soon as the US finishes talking, North Vietnam comes near them with a warship. He condemns the operation planned by the US, and emphasizes the agreement, which states that the US should not intervene in the Vietnam War. The US claimed that he didn't sign the agreement, and that he didn't help prepare the operation for South Vietnam. North Vietnam refuses to believe the statement by the US, and presses a button to launch a torpedo, but the torpedo failed to explode. The US sees the torpedo, and he is unsatisfied very with the attack. He used the North Vietnamese attack as an excuse for attacking North Vietnam, and immediately opens fire on his warship. North Vietnam then quickly leaves. The US answers South Vietnam's question, saying that he has not officially joined the Vietnam War, and then leaves by a military helicopter.
Back in Hanoi, the USSR and China is asking North Vietnam if the war has been going well, but North Vietnam gives an unsatisfactory answer. He tells them that the US has launched an operation on him, and then he attacked the US. The USSR is worried that the attack will be used as an excuse for the US to intervene in the Vietnam War. China plans not to implement any military actions, instead, he chooses to wait for the US to lose public support, since the American media is reporting misinformation. North Vietnam decides to built the Ho Chi Minh Trail, a network of roads connecting North Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and South Vietnam. He used the network to provide military supplies for the Viet Cong, and to lead the Viet Cong to South Vietnam for further operations. Laos is confused and concerned, after seeing North Vietnam and the Viet Cong going past Laos multiple times.
In Camp Holloway, the US is filled with anger, since he has found out that North Vietnam decided to collaborate with the Viet Cong, which will make the situation worse for South Vietnam. He thinks the war has been lasting for a long time, and it should be ended quickly by bombing the entire North Vietnamese territory. After South Vietnam suggesting that the US should use a more tactical method, North Vietnam and the Viet Cong suddenly started an attack in the camp. They blame the US and South Vietnam for not letting them having an democratic election. The US, after losing the battle, is extremely unsatisfied, and decides to immediately take actions on North Vietnam.
North Vietnam and the Viet Cong are inside the jungle, and they are planning the next operation for the war. Suddenly, North Vietnam sees that the US army is flying fighter aircrafts to attack them. The Viet Cong goes back to the tunnel, and the US started his strategic bombing campaign against North Vietnam. While North Vietnam is escaping back to the base in Hanoi, the US drops bombs in Laos, despite Laos is not in the war. North Vietnam quickly comes back to the operation base, and tells China and the USSR to enter the bunker. They are all very confused about the bombing campaign, but North Vietnam has quickly thought of a plan. He has built plenty of bunkers and tunnels all over his territory, and his military installation are spread across jungles and mountain ranges. This means that he can start the counterattack on the US and South Vietnam.
The US has finished his bombing operation, and flies the fighter jet back to the base. He blames South Vietnam for not having advantage in the war. South Vietnam complains that the Viet Cong and the North Vietnamese Army often takes territories back after they're occupied. The US has already acknowledged the situation, and he adds that the North Vietnamese people is becoming more nationalistic. He decides to recruit more people into the US army for the war. The news reports that the US has started a war without any declarations, and shows the soldiers saying goodbye to their family members. An American soldier is comforting his wife and children, and he promises that he will come back after the war. The news reporter is seemly very confident with the war, and claims that the US has a very high possibility of winning the war.
