"Country Splitters!" is a short episode of MrSpherical. It reflects the many events in history that have divided a country, such as the division of Korea and the partition of India, etc.
In a fictional island between Asia and North America, a new country is formed. The country is interested in his surroundings. The United States and Russia arrive in the island, and both are willing to pull the country to their sides, which the country refused to. Canada jokes about their historical decisions, telling them they should divide the country into their puppet states. The US claims that they have never divided a country, but Canada listed some examples of those events:
The division of Korea in 1945. The nation of Korea was divided into North Korea and South Korea.
The partition of India in 1947. The British Raj was dissolved into India and Pakistan.
The partition of Palestine in 1947. The Mandatory Palestine was divided into the State of Palestine and Israel.
The formation of West Germany and East Germany in 1949.
The partition of Vietnam in 1954. The nation of Vietnam was divided into North Vietnam and South Vietnam.
When Canada is going to explain further, he finds out that the country has already been divided into two countries by the US and Russia.
The flag of the fictional country is similar to the flag of India or Niger, but the green and orange stripes are reversed, and the symbol in the middle is changed to the "hollow emoji".
There appears to be no ocean in the video, the entire earth surface is filled with grassland instead.
