"Hello, it's me, your conscience calling! Time to start a war, baby!"
-Adolf Hitler, Germany Good, Nazis Bad
Adolf Hitler (April 20, 1889 - April 30, 1945) was an Austrian-born German politician who served as the dictator of the Greater German Reich from its establishment in 1933 until his suicide in 1945.
After the German Empire was defeated in World War I, the newly-established German Reich was forced to sign the Treaty of Versailles, which weakened Germany significantly. Hitler would take advantage of the German people's anger to manipulate them into supporting him.
The German Reich was tempted by Hitler's words, but quickly snapped back to his senses. Hitler temporarily controls the German Reich during an outburst, but it isn't until 1933 that Hitler manages to completely subjugate the German Reich, and establishes a new one in its place.
Hitler's main goal was to take over the world to ensure that enough Lebensraum, or living space, was given to the German people. After seizing the Sudetenland region of Czechoslovakia, Hitler insisted to the now-trapped German Reich that he was right.
In 1939, with the help of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, Hitler lead Germany's invasion of Poland, initiating World War II. After successfully taking Poland, Hitler lead the German army westward, capturing the Netherlands, Belgium, and France. He then attempted to invade Britain, but the attempt failed.
On June 22, 1941, Hitler lead Germany's invasion of the USSR, opening the Eastern Front. Initially making huge progress taking over the USSR, the Germans were halted at the Soviet capital Moscow. Hitler decides to take matters into his own hands, including bringing his supergun to Leningrad, only to have it disassembled when the Germans are pushed out of the city.
On April 30, 1945, Hitler committed suicide in his Führerbunker to avoid capture from the Soviets.
