Quick rules
Fighters! Enter Combat Mode and Roll inits! Players will alternate teams A vs B vs A and so on!
THE REFEREE will be posting a SCORECARD.
Note which team you are on! Mistakes will incur the Wrath of Da Hammah!
Wait until the SCORECARD announces your turn!
Attack members of the opposing team, until there is only your team left!
Then turn on each other!
Last fighter standing is the winner!
➊ Registration.
Registration will open at the allotted time only. Registration opens and closes very quickly. Pay attention.
No pre-registration is permitted.
Send an IM to the Referee, along with the full announcement you desire the Referee to produce for your entry. No more than two sentences!
Registration is on a first come first served basis. If you have not provided your announcement in your IM, then you forfeit your place.
An announcement example: "From the misty mountains of The Jade Lotus Empire comes a swordsman of great skill! Tsuki!"
If you have competed in a match previously that day, then you may have to allow others to compete in the next match in the same day. Fresh players will take priority.
If you won a Meatgrindah already that day, you may not participate in the next one.
➋ Initiative and team order
Meatgrinder matches consist of 6-8 players.
An initiative roll at the beginning of the match will decide turn order. It will also decide which team each player is on.
The highest initiative roll will be Team Ⓐ. The second highest will be Team Ⓑ. This will alternate for every player until completed.
There is only two teams, Ⓐ & Ⓑ of equal numbers.
The [SCORECARD] will announce the turn order of all players by name, with the letter of the players team listed after the name. E.G: Tsuki Ⓑ.
➌ Combat
Team Ⓐ fights against Team Ⓑ in the turn order established by the initiative roll.
A Fighter must not post until their name is called by the [SCORECARD]. A Fighter has five minutes from the [SCORECARD] post to make an attack post and roll.
If a player targets the wrong player or one of their own team, they are not permitted to reroll. Chaos and confusion is a facet of the Meatgrindah! They will incur the wrath of da Hammah by the ref rolling against the rulebreaker!
Fighters compete until their Hit Points are reduced to 0. Then they must leave the fighting area.
The teams compete until one of the teams is eliminated, or until only two players are left, but the fight continues.
Healing attempts will result in immediate disqualification.
When only two players are left we enter the 'Final Phase.'
➍ The Final Phase & Da Hammah
During the final phase, once two rounds have completed without a successful strike, 'The Hammer' will fall.
'The Hammer' is an AOE effect cast on both fighters, which is a strike! If it is successful, the fighter will lose a Hit point.
The Final Phase will loop with The Hammer striking every round that the combatants don't land a hit
The winner must pose for a picture for the victory announcement and will receive a prize!
If The Hammer falls and both fighters are taken out, then there is no winner of the Meatgrinder for that session!
