5. XY Plane
Upgrade from Go2 frame
Exam
Keep the linear block on the rail with zip ties.
Actions
Remove the two Y plates and all components above it.
Remain linear blocks on the rails with zip ties or even duck tapes.
Remove the ACM back panel for the cut in the next step. Depend on the complexity of your electronics and wiring arrangement, optionally remove or keep them on the panel.
Cut Go2 ACM back panel
Actions
Cut/drill/sand the 2 triangles off for the Go3 rear pulley housings and then assemble the panel back.
As you can see in the picture, the 27mm and 65mm are larger than the actual dimensions so there's no need to leave more margins.
Optionally remove your wirings and electronics if need.

Bolt M4 x 35 (4)
Washer M4 x 9 x 0.8 (4)
Nut M4 (12)
RH bolt M4 x 08 (4)
T-nut M4 (4)
Bolt M3 x 08 (4)
T-nut M3 (4)
(Bug: these M3 hardwares will be replaced by M4's in the next revision.)
Actions
Install the rear pulley housings to the frame and assemble the idlers with F604zz/604zz bearings. The rear pulley housings also act as frame brackets.
Y rails
3mm aluminum square spacer (8)
Bolt M3 x 10 (8)
T-nut M3 (8)
Exam
Don't let the linear block fall. Secure it with zip ties or even duck tapes.
Actions
Raise both Y rails each with 4 aluminum square spacers. The MGN9 rail can easily fall into the gap in an European standard 2020 extrusion.
XY Stepper mounts
4mm aluminum rectangle spacer (2)
Steel stepper mount (2)
XY steppers (2)
2GT 20T pulley, 5mm-bore
Bolt M3 x 06 (8)
RH bolt M4 x 10 (4)
T-nut M4 (4)
Exam
Check the orientation of 20T pulleys.
Actions
Seal CF edges
All carbon fiber parts
Liquid/paste type super glue
Actions
To extend the component life and prevent fibers from spreading and make you itchy, it's best to seal the edges with super glue. No need to seal the bolt holes.
Be sure to work in a ventilated place.
(Tank CF parts are shown here but the same principle applies to Go CF parts.)
X rail
MGN9H 350mm linear guide (1)
CF back tube (1)
Bolt M3 x 10 (5)
Washer M3 x 8 x 0.8 (5)
Nyloc nut M3 (5)
Exam
Don't let the linear block fall. Secure it by passing zip ties through the linear rail or use a tape.
Actions
Attache X rail to the CF back tube as shown below.
