Use the information from your "Endangered Ocean Animal Species PSA Planning Template" (see below). Select important information with a highlighter. Tell the story.
Use this rubric as you work on your PSA. This rubric will help you include all the components (parts) of the PSA to get the top grade! Remember, the top grade means more than a grade on your report card. It means that you are doing your part in preserving a healthy environment for all of us!!! And you just may earn a spot for your PSA in the South Bronx Environmental Film Festival.
Use this planning template to prepare your research. This planning template will assist you in taking all your research into a story arc. A story arc is a plan for a story, or movie or even PSA! Next you will use the iPad movie templates. You will use a highlighter to select the key information on the planning template to use in the iMovie. Use this graphic organizer as you begin your research. This graphic organizer will help you collect lots of information. Some of this information might get used. Some of this information might not get used. You are simply gathering (collecting) information. Do not forget to write the citation at the bottom of the page. Citation means the name of where your information came from. Here are some examples: title of the book you read, website you visited, video you watched, or expert you spoke to.
Use this graphic organizer as you investigate different ocean animal species that are endangered. You will find the following information:
a) name of the endangered animal;
b) 2 facts about the endangered animal; and,
c) reason the animal is endangered.
Read the article, "Thirteen Threatened Animals of the Ocean."
