Nearpod Tips and Resources from PS 48 (DOE log in required)
Overview of how we identify students who may need English language acquisition and learning supports, plus resources, scaffolds, and materials for amplifying the teaching and learning in your classroom.
This is just the beginning: Where do we want to go next to support ELLs?
Co-presented with Sage Hunter, we explore, How might general education teachers best meet the needs of diverse learners, particularly English Language Learners (ELLs) and students with individualized education plans (IEPs), and what protocols for sharing information and tracking progress are most effective?
The goals over this 6 session series were to use the time together to collaboratively:
Deepen our understanding of how academic language learning looks and feels
Understand guiding documents and principals from NYSED and NYCDOE
Experiment with technology platforms that promote language acquisition and learning
