Perhaps measure something's distance, weight, temperature, or...Be creative and observe the nature, right here in Hunts Point!
There's two pages for each field journal so you can use it two different times. You can also use both field journals! Pick the one you like best!
Go to the Summer in the Garden page to find different activities tailored to using the garden. Even if it isn't the summer, you can use these activities to connect reading, writing, math, social studies, and art with science inquiry. Have fun teaching and learning!
Also consider visiting the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation website. Our government at work help us to protect nature, wildlife, and the water around us. Click and print journals for Nature Activities for nature, birds, sounds, and all kinds of things you can experience in nature.
