Our Summer Meals program is available at hundreds of public schools, community pools, public parks, libraries, and other locations around the city. Locations, dates, and times are subject to change. Find a location here in Hunts Point and ANYWHERE in the 5 boroughs! This includes the Hunts Point School (MS 424) and Barretto Point Park Pool (stick around and go swimming! Or learn to swim!).
Through Community Rowing, Hunts Point residents of all ages explore the Bronx River aboard student-built wooden row boats, accompanied by staff who teach them about the local waterways. The free program takes place every Saturday from Memorial Day to Labor Day. For four of those days, community members can also try their hand at sailing. Community Sailing aims to make sailing a staple of the South Bronx waterfront.
Community Birding brings birdwatching to the shores of the Bronx River. Identify and learn about local species with knowledgeable guides. Binoculars and field guides will be provided.
Head down to Barretto Point Park and enjoy the park and free pool access. There are other pools in the boroughs that have different events going on! Even learn how to swim! Enjoy! Directions to Barretto Point Park. You can also breakfast and lunch here for FREE. Yum!

Through this initiative, New York Road Runners is working with community leaders and volunteers to bring FREE weekly walks and runs in local neighborhood parks. Here in the Bronx, you can attend at Soundview Park, Crotona Park, St. Mary's Park, and Pelham Bay Park. All runs are directed by volunteers and are free to all participants. Sign up now! En Español

Youth aged 5 - 18 years old receive FREE tennis instruction from trained coaches year round. Contact the Cary Leeds Center for Tennis and Learning to sign up for summer programs, and continue for the rest of the year!

Take a trip to NYBG and enjoy nature, plants, and the Bronx River. If you are a Bronx Resident, the garden grounds are FREE every day the garden is open. The gardens are FREE every Wednesday (all day) and Saturdays from 9:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. otherwise. Check for updated hours and days here.
