Ingredients
2 lb bag of hashbrowns
8 oz sour cream
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 lb velveeta type cheese
1 small onion finely chopped
1 tsp salt
Pepper
French fried onions, crushed so they form an even coating on top of the hashbrowns
Instructions
Cook chopped onion in butter
Heat all ingredients except hashbrowns and french fried onions in sauce pan
Put hashbrowns in 9x13 pan
Add melted cheese mixture to hashbrowns and mix until fully covered
Bake uncovered at 350 for 45 mins
Take out and sprinkle fried onions on top
Bake uncovered for an additional 5 mins until browned
