Duncan Hines white cake mix
Whipped cream
Rasberry jam
Buttercream Frosting
4 cups powdered sugar
1 stick of butter (room temp.)
1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
3 tsp. vanilla
Cake
Bake a Duncan Hines white cake mix as directed in two 9" round pans and let cool on wire racks top side down to help flatten it. When cool, make homemade buttercream frosting (see below). Put raspberry jam on top of the bottom layer of cake. Top with whipped cream. Place the second layer of cake on top. Put buttercream frosting over the entire cake. (You may have some left over.)
Buttercream Frosting
Mix sugar and butter together with an electric mixer. Add whipping cream and vanilla until well-blended.
