CANVAS LOGIN

Enrolled RTC students and employees are asked to login to their Canvas account using a laptop or desktop computer and the Chrome browser for the most optimal Canvas experience.

  2. Login credentials = your RTC (email) Account's username & password

Find a lot in Canvas!

RTC is a web-enhanced campus. No matter what kind of course you take, you will be using Canvas often. Canvas is Washington state's premier Higher Education Learning Management System (LMS) from which all courses are distributed online.

  • GRADES: Find course Assignments, Quizzes distributed in Canvas on your Canvas Grades

  • CALENDARS: Your Canvas calendar has this information, and will remind you of upcoming due dates as well.

  • SYLLABUS: Learn what's expected of you in your course, its outcomes, and helpful resources.

  • END of QUARTER COURSE EVALUATIONS: Students provide course feedback at the end of quarter in the left column of each Canvas course.

4 Course Modalities

  1. Face-to-Face/Web-Enhanced: Class times are designated in the schedule; syllabus, grades, assignments and other course elements available online.

    • Based on the state’s response to COVID-19: Online/Remote instruction will replace face-to-face instructional time.

  2. Flex: Students can choose how to attend this mode of instruction (on campus or online) each day.

    • Based on the state’s response to COVID-19: Online/Remote instruction will replace face-to-face instructional time.

  3. Hybrid: A combination of face-to-face meetings and online instruction.

    • Based on the state’s response to COVID-19:

      • Hybrid = Online/Remote instruction will replace face to face instructional time

      • Hybrid A/B = A/B Split – hands-on portion delayed to return to campus time

  4. Online: 100% online. (The modality of an online class will not change.)
