ドイツのテレビ番組で、主なインタビュー音声にはドイツ語吹替が被さる。ドキュメンタリーだが一部アレンジされたドラマ仕立てで、移動遊園地の回転ブランコやメリーゴーラウンドに乗ったロリーがうっとりと笑顔を見せたり、弟でマネージャーのドナルが運転する車がロンドン市内の有名なライブスポット、マーキークラブのまん前に停車し、降りてきたロリーが「それじゃ俺は先にギター屋に寄って行くから。」とセリフを喋り、そこから何ブロックも離れた楽器店まで雑踏の中を誰にも気づかれないかのようにスタスタ歩いて行ったり、楽器店ではたまたまそこにあったアンティークギター（チューニング済み）を見つけて試奏したり、へえ、この人この時期にはアイドルスター扱いに甘んじて、こんなわざとらしいヤラセにも応じていたんだ、と意外な感じがする。1978年6月21日、レコード会社クリサリスのオフィスでアルバム『Against The Grain』のシルバーディスク獲得をシャンペンで祝った後、ドナル、ジェリー・マカヴォイ、テッド・マッケンナらとともに飛行機でホームタウンのコークに向かうが、機内でロリーは離れた席のスタッフに向かって大声を出したり（チャーター機とは思えないのだが）、テレビ側に要求された演技でなければ、しかも30歳にもなってこんなにふざける人だとは思えないのだが……。「Brute Force And Ignorance」のリハーサルシーンでは、ステージ用のトレードマークとなった剥げちょろけストラトキャスターではなく練習用の見慣れないギターを使って、ステージでは常にハイテンションなロリーの珍しくルーズな演奏と歌が聴ける。加入したばかりのテッド・マッケンナはこれがロリーとの初めてのギグで、6月24日のマクルーム野外コンサート本番直前まで練習が必要だったそうだ。マクルームではアイルランド訛り丸出しの若いファンに「どこから来たの？」とインタビューすると、なぜか「It's a Long Way to Tipperary」（「ティッペラリーへの道」のタイトルで昔は日本にも知られた1940年代の一種の軍歌）の大合唱になっちゃったり、会場から2キロ離れた民家ではアイルランドの伝統的な結婚披露宴の最中だった……とかいってほとんど無意味に地元の人々のアイリッシュダンスのシーンが挿入されたり。コンサートシーンはあまり見応えがない。だがその後、6月25日ホットプレス（前年1977年6月に創刊したばかりのアイルランドの代表的音楽誌）アワードの授賞パーティで、ジョニー・ロットン、ボブ・ゲルドフと同席になり、悪ふざけするふたりをジェリーとテッドが離れた所からじっと見つめるシーンがあったりする。インタビューに答えてロリーは、アイルランドには刺激がなさすぎる、自分の音楽には大都会の喧騒や狂気が必要だというようなことを言っている。番組冒頭の「A Million Miles Away」とラストの「Tattoo'd Lady」は、アイルランドに引き続き行ったスカンジナヴィア・ツアーのステージから。

オーストリアのTV番組。インタビューが主でライブシーンは細切れだが、ラストにノーカットで収録された「I Wonder Who」は、この曲が好きで好きでたまらない！といった感じで、ロリーの生き生きとした表情と動きが素晴らしい名演だ。

スタジオライブだが、小さな円形のステージを囲むひな壇の客が全員のりで貼ったように固まっている。「収録中は絶対に騒がないように！」と番組ディレクターにきつく命令でもされたのだろうか。ロリーもちょっとやりにくそうで、演奏も歌もミスがあり少し雑だが、アクションやポーズは決まっていてカッコイイ。パワフル・ドラマーのテッド・マッケンナも人気上昇。ロリーの顔がアップになると髭剃りあとのカミソリ負けのブツブツまで見えるほど、残されていた映像が鮮明なこともあり、昔一時ユーXxーブに挙げて放置していた1年ほどの間にそれぞれが50万回ぐらい、2曲合わせて100万回以上閲覧されていて恐ろしくなったことがある。

Rory's voice was hoarse but great show. Do You Read Me contains several minutes long interlude by Gerry's bass and Ted's drums, maybe Rory needed a time for changing strings? Last 4 blues songs were performed as jam session with John Mayall on harmonica. We can hear a minor chord version of Messin' With The Kid which really heard.

ロリーの声がかすれているが凄いライブ。「Do You Read Me」の後半に数分間ベースとドラムが同じフレーズを延々繰り返すだけの長い間奏が入る。もしかしたらこの間にロリーは途中で切れた弦を張り替えたのかもしれない。プログラムは「Shadow Play」でいったん終わり、ラスト4曲はジョン・メイオール（ハーモニカ）とのブルース・ジャムセッション。セッション2曲めはマイナーコードだが「Messin' With The Kid」のようだ。ドン・シュガーケイン・ハリスがヴォーカルで加わるセッション3曲めは「Texas Flood」。

1992/ Issued as Calling Hard Part Two in G-MEN Bootleg Series Volume One 3CD box "officially" released.

2007/ Japanese TV transmission with Japanese commentary and extra bonus footage of Gary Moore and Phil Lynott.

上記リストから7曲が入れられた『Calling Hard』というタイトルのブートレッグが出回ったが、それを後の1992年、ロリー自身のストレンジ・レコード社がそのままCD化し『G-MEN Bootleg Series』という3CDボックスで発売してしまった。

そしてテレビ番組『Rock Goes To College』は、なんと日本でも2007年、アイリッシュつながりで(？) ゲイリー・ムーアの「Shapes Of Things」、ゲイリーとフィル・ライノットがデュエットで歌う「Out In The Fields」のミュージッククリップのボーナス付きで放送されたことがある。
