ポール・コゾフ Paul Kossoff (1950-1976) のバンド「Back Street Crawler」と同日出演だったことに驚くが、北米ツアー中にコゾフの健康状態が悪化し、ライブの多くはキャンセルか、セッションギタリストのW・G・スナッフィー・ウォルデンが代役に立って行われたと伝えられているので、この日ロリーとコゾフは会わなかったと思われる。コゾフはこの後ヘッドライナーとして復帰するが、1976年3月3日ウェストハリウッド Starwood 出演が生涯最後のライブとなってしまった。

ロリーの28歳の誕生日1976年3月2日にBBC2テレビで放送された、BBCシェパーズブッシュ・シアターでの有観客ライブ。「All Around Man」ではギターを置いて本格的にハーモニカを演奏する。じつは当時の放送は5曲め「Souped-Up Ford」の途中で時間切れ終了だったが、それに続く13分間、客席の要望に応じて「Bullfrog Blues」を弾き終え、黒のエスクワイヤをアンプに立て掛けて置くところまでが、1995年7月（彼の死の翌月）に追悼番組として放送された。追悼番組のMCは1991年3月9日ロサンゼルスでロリーのコンサートに飛び入りしたことがあるスラッシュ（ガンズ＆ローゼス）が務め、「俺のことなんかロリーは知らないだろうと思っていたら、知ってくれていたので嬉しかった」など泣かせる思い出を語る。

1974年に始まったドイツのテレビ番組『ロックパラスト』に、1976年『コーリング・カード』発売直前のロリーが出演。1曲め「Pistol Slapper Blues」で局側の何らかの技術的ミスがあったようで、前半アコースティックセットの最後に録り直している。スタジオライブで観客が入っているので、ロリーが自ら録り直すことを説明する。（流出音源からわかるだけで、後年発売されたDVDには当然入っておらず、1976年放送時にはどうなっていたのか不明。）

私個人的にこのスタジオライブの『Do You Read Me』が大好き。ロリーの曲の中ではこの曲が一番好きだけど、さらにその一曲の様々な演奏の中でも、ジャズっぽいテイストのこの演奏が一番好き。ロリーの音源を一曲分だけ持って放浪の旅に出ろと言われたら、迷わずこれを選ぶ。
