Welcome Pur Umeed Zindagi - Indus Hospital & Health Network
Indus Hospital & Health Network (IHHN) is Pakistan’s leading not‑for‑profit healthcare system, providing high‑quality, comprehensive healthcare services entirely free of cost to all patients, without discrimination based on religion, ethnicity, gender, or financial status. Established on principles of compassion, excellence, integrity, and transparency, IHHN has transformed the healthcare landscape of Pakistan by demonstrating that world‑class healthcare can be delivered sustainably at zero cost to patients.
Origins and Vision
IHHN began its journey in 2007 at Korangi, Karachi, when a non‑functional hospital building donated by the Islamic Mission Trust was transformed into Pakistan’s first fully cashless and paperless hospital. This pioneering model eliminated financial and administrative barriers, ensuring equitable access to healthcare and setting a new national benchmark for ethical and inclusive care delivery.
The founding vision of IHHN is rooted in the belief that healthcare is a fundamental human right, not a privilege. This vision continues to guide every clinical, community, educational, and public health initiative across the network.
Today, IHHN operates as a nationwide healthcare network comprising:
12+ secondary and tertiary care hospitals across Pakistan
100+ primary care and community health facilities
Regional Blood Centers ensuring safe and reliable blood supply
Physical Rehabilitation Centers providing prosthetics and mobility services
Pakistan’s largest Pediatric Oncology Program, offering free cancer treatment to children nationwide
Community and Public Health Programs addressing TB, Hepatitis C, HIV, malaria, maternal and child health, nutrition, and mental health
Each year, IHHN provides free healthcare services to more than 6 million patients, while maintaining rigorous clinical quality standards and digital medical records across its system.
Specialized and Public Health Programs
Beyond curative care, IHHN is deeply committed to preventive and population‑level health initiatives, including:
Zero TB Program (active case finding and preventive therapy)
Hepatitis C elimination and HIV treatment services
Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Health (MNCH)
Mental Health and Psychosocial Support, including community‑based programs
Emergency preparedness, disaster response, and vaccination campaigns
These initiatives allow IHHN to reach underserved and remote communities where access to healthcare was previously limited or nonexistent.
IHHN integrates service delivery with education and research to strengthen Pakistan’s healthcare workforce:
Indus University of Health Sciences (IUHS) – providing undergraduate and postgraduate medical education
CPSP‑accredited postgraduate training programs
Indus Hospital Research Centre, supporting clinical, public health, and health systems research
This integrated model ensures sustainability, innovation, and the training of ethically grounded healthcare professionals aligned with national health needs.
While clinical hospitals operate within Pakistan, IHHN is supported by a strong and growing international network of partner organizations that enable fundraising, advocacy, research collaboration, and global engagement.
IHHN is supported internationally through:
