Welcome Pur Umeed Zindagi - Indus Hospital & Health Network

The Pur Umeed Zindagi Program is a community-based mental health and psychosocial support initiative focused on promoting hope, emotional well-being, self-confidence, and positive living. Throughout 2023, the program worked closely with communities to deliver awareness, screening, counseling, and capacity-building services.
Vision: A healthy, hopeful, and resilient society.
Mission: To improve mental well-being through awareness, early identification, psychosocial support, and community engagement.
To promote mental health awareness at the community level
To identify and support individuals facing stress, anxiety, and depression
To strengthen coping skills among youth and families
To reduce stigma associated with mental health issues
Community-based awareness sessions conducted in schools, villages, and institutions
Key themes included stress management, emotional well-being, self-care, and resilience
Frequency: Regular sessions conducted throughout the year
Mental health screening of individuals at community level
Individual counseling sessions (in-person)
Group counseling and psychoeducation sessions
Training of community volunteers on basic mental health concepts
Orientation sessions for teachers and community workers
Activities and awareness sessions on World Mental Health Day (10 October)
Community discussions on stress, substance use, and self-care

July–September: Follow-up support, outreach activities, group sessions
October–December: World Mental Health Day activities, annual review and documentation
