Psalm 43:1-5
1 Vindicate me, my God,
and plead my cause
against an unfaithful nation.
Rescue me from those who are
deceitful and wicked.
2 You are God my stronghold.
Why have you rejected me?
Why must I go about mourning,
oppressed by the enemy?
3 Send me your light and your faithful care,
let them lead me;
let them bring me to your holy mountain,
to the place where you dwell.
4 Then I will go to the altar of God,
to God, my joy and my delight.
I will praise you with the lyre,
O God, my God.
5 Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God.
Our moods often change from day to day, and in this Psalm of David we notice David's changing mood and attitude...And David looks, and was always looking for God to help him and to help him out of his low moods...
The way to forget our low mood and our anxieties is to remember God and to focus on Him and His Son...We all are troubled at one time or another and get discouraged if one or more things go wrong in our lives...And David saw his troubles and ask God to rescue him from those who were deceitful and wicked...He told God that He was his stronghold...And then David asks why have you rejected me?...Why must I go about mourning, oppressed by the enemy?...And then David says send me Your light and Your faithful care, let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy mountain, to the place where you dwell...David would go to the altar of God, and to God, and have joy and delight...David would praise God with the lyre, O God, my God...Why does the soul sometimes get so downcast?...Why am I so disturbed within myself?...Put your hope in God, my Savior and my God...God will calm David of his troubles...Let us think like David and realized that he believes his Father will put away his griefs and fears...
God gives David great hope, a never ending hope...
