Psalm 33:20-22
Hope in the LORD
20 We wait in hope for the LORD;
he is our help and our shield.
21 In him our hearts rejoice,
for we trust in his holy name.
22 May your unfailing love rest upon us, O LORD,
even as we put our hope in you.
St. Paul says there are three great virtues in life, and they are faith, hope, and love...Let us not forget the great virtue of hope...Hope is the anchor to the soul...Theologian John Calvin wrote, “We should ask God to increase our hope when it is small, awaken it when it is dormant, confirm it when it is wavering, strengthen it when it is weak, and raise it up when it is overthrown.”...
Let us have learn to love, learn to love the things we do in our works, and have hope for tomorrow...This makes for an abundant life...God is able to make all hope abound in us, so that in all things at all times, having all that we need, we will abound in every good work that we do...For God has plans for us, plans to prosper us and not to harm us, plans to give you hope and a future...Hope in the LORD...Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding...In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight...
I ask the Holy Spirit that dwells in me, to strengthen my resolve to live each day closer to God, and to see Him more clearly...Live in me, Holy Spirit, and permeate my life with love, faith, and hope...Keep me mindful at all times of the hope you bring...
